Raksha Bandhan is a special occasion to celebrate the eternal and auspicious bond between brother and sister and the affection of the siblings in the family.
Sri B. M. Patil School celebrated Raksha Bandhan on 12th August, 2023 with full zeal and endeavour that one associates with this auspicious festival. The main objective behind celebrating ‘Raksha Bandhan’ was making the children aware about the virtuous bond of love between a brother and a sister which is one of the deepest and noblest of all human emotions.
A day before, the students of grade IIIrd to Xth participated in the Rakhi Making competition on the pious occasion of Raksha Bandhan. All the learners made attractive rakhis with the materials brought by them from their home. They presented their self- made rakhis very beautifully along with the other auspicious items like rice, sindoor, sugar, etc. in plates.
On this day, the students also presented a special assembly about this prolific occasion. Then followed the tying ceremony; girls tied the auspicious thread of rakhi which is beautifully designed and beautified on the wrists of their classmates. Orators, dancers, singers all performed to the best of their abilities. Their colourful attires and innocent smiles brightened the whole atmosphere.
